The ingredients needed to make Sweet dahi vada:
  1. Make ready 1 cup urad dal
  2. Make ready 2 cup curd
  3. Take to taste Salt

  6. Prepare 1 pinch asafoetida/ heeng
  7. Prepare as needed Oil for frying

Steps to make Sweet dahi vada:
  1. First soak the dal overnight after that wash it nicely and grind it in a grinding jar to a fine paste(don’t use water at the time of grinding).
  2. Pour it into a bowl and add 1 tsp salt mix it nicely and beat it for 5-7 minutes with hand or any spoon or whisk to make it fluffy.
  3. Now in a bowl pour the curd and beat it for few seconds and add sugar and black salt, mix it u can add little bit of water to adjust the consistency of curd (it should be little thick).keep it aside.
  4. After that take a bowl with water and add a pinch of asafoetida in it, mix it. (we will add the fried vade in it).
  5. Now heat up a pan with oil and add the vade from dal and fry it till it turns golden colour and remove in the bowl which is full of water. Soak all the vade in it.
  6. Now remove the vade from water and press it lightly to remove soaked water and dip it in the curd mixture. Dip all the vade in it and leave it for 1-2 hours.
  7. After that serve it in a bowl a sprinkle some roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder and also put tamarind chutney on the top and enjoy it.
