  4. Add the rest of the ingredients to your crockpot, Set it for medium-high for 6-8 hours.
  5. STOVETOP VERSION-In a dutch oven or similar sized pot brown your sausages on all sides, don’t worry about cooking them through, just get a nice color on them.
  6. Once browned add a splash of balsamic vinegar to the pan and use a wooden spoon to scrape up the bits.
  7. Add your onions, peppers, and garlic to the pot, cook until everything begins to soften.
  8. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir together and let it lightly simmer on the stove on medium low for 1-2 hours.
