Instructions to make April's home made ho hos:
  1. Preheat oven at 375°
  2. Combine dry ingredients in bowl,mix well. In saucepan combine water,butter & cocoa, bring to a boil. Meanwhile beat eggs & buttermilk well. Mix boiled ingredients with dry ingredients til blended. Add egg/buttermilk mixture,blend well. Grease & flour 9 x 13 pan, pour mixture in. Bake 33mins, til toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  3. Place cookie rack overtop then turn over out of pan to cool on rack.
  4. Once cool, slice lengthwise & separate gently to cool both halves.
  5. Once cake halves cool then prepare cream filling
  6. Mix soft cream cheese,vanilla & powder sugar til smooth with mixer. Add heavy cream & mix on high til thick.
  7. Frost bottom half, then lay top half ontop of frosted bottom half. So end result looks like giant cake sandwich
  8. Then gently slice into 15 squares while assembled on wire rack with wax paper under rack. Gently separate all 15 squares.
  9. Then on very low heat melt parafon wax & chocolate morsels til smooth. Then quickly but gently start drizzling over each square top.
  10. ENJOY!!! refrigerate leftovers in covered dish
